Notice of Intention to dispose of Council owned property

Notice is given pursuant to Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (“the Act”) of the intention of the Swan Hill Rural City Council (“The Council”) to sell Council owned land by public tender.

Please be assured that if this land sale proceeds, Swan Hill Rural City Council is committed to maintaining an alternative physical office presence in Robinvale and providing all current services to the community,

This includes - Council customer service point, and as an agency for VicRoads and Services Australia.

Council will also be ensuring that continuity of services is maintained throughout any relocation.

At a meeting on 20 September 2022, Swan Hill Rural City Council resolved to give public notice of its intention to sell the following land:

Submissions in respect of this notice will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and Council’s Community Engagement Guidelines. Any person wishing to make a submission in accordance with this section must do so within 28 (twenty-eight) days after publication of this notice.

Persons making submissions are entitled to appear in person or to be represented by a person specified within the submission at a meeting to be heard in support of the submission. Please indicate in your submission if you want to speak to your submission.

If no submissions to the sale of the land are received pursuant to Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and Council’s Community Engagement Guidelines, Council Officers are authorised to proceed to requests submissions for the proposed sale of the land via Public Tender.
