Help Shape the Future for Young People in our municipality

Swan Hill Rural City Council is excited to announce the development of a new Youth Strategy 2026-2030 to support the needs, aspirations, and wellbeing of young people aged 12 to 25 across our region.

This strategy will guide how Council plans, delivers, and advocates for programs, spaces, and services that help young people to thrive—now and into the future. To make sure it reflects real needs and local voices, we’re inviting young people and the broader community to become involved in this important project.

Why this matters:

Young people play a vital role in the life and future of our community. But we also know that many face challenges—including limited access to services, transport, education pathways, mental health support, and safe, inclusive spaces to connect. This strategy is our opportunity to better understand those challenges and work together to create meaningful solutions.
