Project Details

Council have commenced the detailed planning phase for the McCallum Street shared pathway project, focusing on the decommissioned Number 9 channel reserve, between Woorinen Road and Stradbroke Avenue.

Project overview:

  • A 975m long by 2.5m wide concrete shared path will be constructed along McCallum Street between Woorinen South Road and Stradbroke Avenue, on the decommissioned Number 9 channel reserve
  • The alignment follows recommendations for future planning and improvements of McCallum Street
  • The alignment provides the necessary space for staged landscape works to be undertaken on both sides of the shared path
  • The current path running alongside McCallum Street will be replaced with landscaping
  • An appropriate lighting treatment will also be installed to enhance passive surveillance, user safety and experience

As a local community member we would like to keep you in the loop and receive any questions or feedback you may have regarding the shared path.
